How to Trim off Those Split Ends
How to Trim off Those Split Ends
Split ends are such a pain! They always tend to make their ugly appearance just before a big event and you may not always have the time to pop down to the hairdressers to have them snipped off. Why not learn how to trim split ends at home and save yourself a little bit of time and also money!

Dry and brittle hair are more likely to develop split ends than well cared for and well nourished hair so by taking better care of your locks you could potentially be able to avoid them. If it is too late however, get random strips of your hair and in a downwards action, twist them so that any visible split ends will be poking out. When it comes to cutting them off, do not snip across as this can leave blunt indentations in your hair which is not an attractive look! Try to cut into the hair in a snipping action and this will leave a more feathered effect than a random blunt cut.
Within each individual twist of hair that you snip try to make sure that you cut the same rough amount from each so that the hair is even all the way around. By snipping up in to the hair rather than across it, if something does go wrong it will look like more defined feathering rather than a mess up so by paying attention and trying to be accurate you could save embarrassment from a messed up trim and also time and effort as well as money at the hairdressers!
